Author Files Conflict

I'm using fp2003 and have the site working nicely, but in file comparison
mode, most files are either "unmatched" or in "conflict." The last time I
tried to publish the remote site to the local and overwrite files, it really
trashed the remote site. What's the safest way to back up the remote site to
fp, si I can delete the old one, or should I just ignore the mismatched
files? (although this would leave me with no current backup) Thanks

Open the live/remote site and publish to a different folder on your HD.
