Contact us form...and email auto reply
|
|
|
| I"m using contact us form which one of its fields is : client email address.
I want to create rule in outlook that will automatic reply to the emails
sent by this form but the sender is always my email acoount .
How can i reply to the email address that the client filled in in the form?
Thanks Yair.

| Make sure in the form properties options you have turned on the Reply-To field and enter the field name of the email address or the
user
The form will always be sent from the server, but when you click reply to in your mail program it will show the user email address
from the form field used in Reply-To
As for rules in Outlook to use Reply-to instead of the From, check w/ an Outlook newsgroup
IMHO,
better to check if your server uses an autoresponder and use that
PS
"client email address" is an invalid field name (can't have spaces)
- use "client_email_address"

| In FrontPage form properties you can designate the emails Reply-To address
is taken from the client email address. (NOTE: Remove all spaces and
hyphens from field names, replace them with underlines)
I suggest you post in an Outlook group for setting up an Outlook rule to
auto-reply using the reply-to address, or check with your host to see if an
autoresponder can be utilised.

| Have you set the form properties to use the email address as the reply-to?
Right-Click in the form, Choose Form Properties
Click Option button, then E-mail Results tag
In the E-mail message header->reply-to line:, tick Form Field Name and type
in the name of the field.
