Hello!

I have FrontPage Express 2.0.2.1118.

How do I display Emoticons? When I key ':D' for "large smile," the software
displays :D.

I believe emoticons are coded in Java. Is that part of my issue?

Thanks!

This is correct. You have to remember, FrontPage Express is over 6 years
old. At that time very few programs converted the text emoticons to graphic.
This is exactly how they were originally written. Emoticons are text. Chat
programs such as AIM and MS Messenger convert these text emoticons into
their own graphical icons. To do it in a web page you'll need to find the
graphical icons that represent the emoticons you want and just insert them
as you would any image.

Hope this helps,
