I have gone through the process of converting a MOV file to AVI so that
windows media can view it. I am trying to add the video to my page to be
viewed through WMP so that many users will be able to see it. Well, it works
great on my computer, probably becuase the file is saved to my hard drive,
but other people I have asked cannot view it. What do I need to do?

Here is the webpage, see if you can see it.

You have answered your own question. The file is on your
local computer and not on the internet. Import the file and
then recreate the link

I am not quite sure how importing files works. I have thus far loaded it by
adding an Active-X control and specifying WMP. Obviously this is not working.
Once I import the file, where do I go from there.

Thanks for the reply.

When the web is open, select the folder you want the file in
(eg media) and then choose >File >import and browse to your
avi file. After that is completed, you can reset up the
parameters for the ActiveX control or another option is to
download the WMP plugin for FP which is pretty easy to set
up
