Author Help! Can't Load to New Computer because FP1.1 is on Floppies!

I first learned about Microsoft Front Page when I read about this New Web
Development Program called Microsoft Front Page Beta back in 1995 or 96 when
I was a 1st Level Member of Microsoft's Web Developer's program. A kind
support person helped me download the Beta Version and it was Love at First
Site! I went onto buy the 1st program, Microsoft Front Page 1.1 and now
make my living on the net, thanks to the websites Front Page has allowed me
to develop. Using those original Floppy Discs I've Upgraded Front Page
every time a new version came out. But now I've hit a roadblock. I
recently upgraded to a new computer and IT DOESN'T HAVE A FLOPPY DRIVE! In
order to load my last Upgrade, I have to have a previous version of Front
Page on my computer. I've always just loaded good ole 1.1 and then
upgraded, but 1.1 is on Floppies and I can't load it onto my new computer.

Does anyone out there know a number where I can contact Microsoft to maybe
help? Or does anyone know how I can put my own 1.1 on CD so I can upload it
into my new computer? I know I can buy an external Floppy, but I never use
disc's anymore and hate to spend that kind of money when it's most likely
only ever going to be used once.

An interesting dilemma huh and all because I fell in love with Front Page
when floppies were king and CD's were only in the minds of the techno
imagineers...sigh.

Anyone have any suggestions? If so, email me at dustiem@dustie.com removing
the m.

Thanks!

Dustie

If you have a previous upgrade on CD use that as the qualifying program. It
does not have to be installed, just place it in the CD drive when the
install asks for a qualifying prog.

heheeee... I still have 1.1 in my software museum :-)

You can buy a floopy drive for like 14 bucks. Or maybe have a friend =
burn you floopy to a CD for ya.

However...maybe it's time to buy the FP2003.
