how to extract incoming files as template in frontpage

| Dear all,
I need to do an exercise on how to transfer materials to the web and I
am required to download a zip file ( who consists of 31 different
files), extract all the elements to the drive on my computer that I
installed my frontpage, and save them as templete file called "course
web"so that I can open it later on as templates from the web. It took
me ages to find out how it can be done and I am still puzzled about
it...can anybody please tell me what to do??

My advice would be, download the zip file, extract all the elements to the
drive on your computer that you installed your frontpage, and save them as
templete file called "course web" so that you can open it later on as
templates from the web.

| Or if this Zip file contains a FP Web template that you are to use as a New Web Template you will need to move the Folder
(containing the 31 unzipped files) to your FP Custom Web Template folder
The FP Custom Web Template folder is in:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FrontPage\Webs
(type or paste the above address into Windows Explorer address bar)

| Stefan, can you please explain a little bit further on the topic? I
don't quite understand what you mean.
Thx

| The folder accessed thru typing below in Windows Explorer Address bar contains any custom user web templates
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FrontPage\Webs
That should put you in a folder something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOURUSERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\Webs
That's where you copy any downloaded web template folders (and their content)
Each web template is a separate folder in that "Web" folder with a name like: "thetemplatename.tem"
Within that sub folder are the actual files used by the template, plus a file named "thetemplatename.inf" which contains the name of
the template and a list of all the files used by the template>
What else do you need to know?
