Error? when tying to insert a link bar
|
|
|
| I have been doing web design for years, but not with Front Page. This problem about has my butt whipped.
After creating the navigation structure, I insert a link bar, going through the steps in the properties. When I hit finish, the text (rather than a bar) appears with the message [Add this page to the Navigation view to display hyperlinks here].
I can find nothing relating to this in any kb and I can find no way to do what it is saying through any of the properties.
HELP!

| Yah, just to go Navigation view and add your pages to the navigation =
structure. If only the home page shows up as a yellow box, right click =
on it and follow along :-)

First off, you must start by opening a web, not just a page. Did you? If not, there is no structure to navigate since you only have a single page open.
Once you open an actual web, click the Navigation icon on the left side of the screen. This will bring up a window showing an organizational chart of your website's navigation. All of your existing web pages will be listed in a window just to the
left of the navigation chart. Drag and drop from that window into the position where you want it on the navigational chart, and voila, your links will show correctly and the message will go away.
You'll find it's often useful to use FP's help function.

Craig
