| I'm using FrontPage 2003 and Publishing to a server
running Apache linux with FrontPage 2002 Extensions.
Try to publish site and within 5 seconds get message.
"The server "" timed out. The current request did not
complete successfully."
Ping and Tracert to server seem OK.
Any help on this, would be appreciated.

| Hi FishyFred,
What happens when you attempt to open the web on the server with FP3?

| Hello Mike,
I can open the web on the server, edit a page, and then
save the page. It seems to work fine.
But this does not work on the home page, which is very
large. If I load it on the server and try to save it,
then after several minutes I get an error message saying,
"The server sent a response which FrontPage could not
parse. ..."
I can load the site on my drive, click on the tab labeled
"Web Site" then on "Remote Web Site", and then drag and drop
pages from the site on my drive to the site on the server.
But again this does not work with the home page. When
I try to drag and drop it from my computer to the server, then
after several minutes I get the same error message saying,
"The server sent a response which FrontPage could not
parse. ..."

| How large is "very large"?
- consider breaking up the home page so the file size is smaller
