Photogallery page doesn't appear in Web site. First attempt to fix: moved subfolder into main folder. Still got message page not found. Then changed the path in menu section of page to main/photogallery/name.pics still page not found. So when the sub f
older was within the public_html directory, the gallery pages could not be found. When the photogallery folder was moved to the site folder in html, still the gallery wasn't found. Finally in changing the path in the menu section of site makeMenu('sub','W
ater Cutting','./waterjet/photogallery/water-pics')
still no photo gallery...instead you get sent to 'incredafind...web search page'.

How do I get the pages to publish and work. Sub folder didn't work, moving sub folder didn't work, path change didn't work.

Is there something I'm missing....was I to save the gallery differently then as a normal page? Please advise....I really need this to work ASAP.

Make sure that the link to the page is correct. Remember that case
matters.

confirmed page name, yes in all locations it is the same, all in lower case. Where should the subfolder be? Within the main folder, or just within the public_html directory? Again, when saving the photo gallery in FP is it to be saved in the same manner a
s the other pages created there, or is it to be saved differently?

I really like the look of the gallery (in preview) and would like to use it. Without working it through a different package. Another question regarding the gallery. The captions are left justified, is there a way to make them centered under the image. I'v
e found no way to accomplish this...please advise.

More importantly...how do I get the gallery to appear on the web.

FP saves the photogallery with a random name...photogallery12345 =
something like that.

Hi CG, yes I noticed that...that is the subfolder I was referring to. Having this in the main public_html directory didn't activate the gallery on line. moving it to the page directory within public_html didn't activate it either. Check all the file names
, and links...no luck. Has anyone gotten this feature to work? Within FP'03 the gallery works and looks fine. It's when it is published it fails to appear.

Back to your solution...this randomly name folder...where should it be placed in the public_html directory (alone, or within the page folder)? Or, when saving the gallery in FP is there special way it should be saved as? I went throught the help section
and was left to believe it should be saved as would any other created page....

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!

Yah I use it once in a while, there are some invisible limitations that =
you may bang into...some seem to be related to size of image files =
and/or number of images - I havent quite figured it out...and for that =
reason I would call the FP photogallery "quirky". They seem to be fine =
on a small scale.

One thing I have learned is to not mess with the generated folders too =
much...like DONT try to rename them :-)

There are a lot of alternatives to fp's galleries though. One popular =
one is JAlbum (free, cool and skinable)...and a gazillion others.

Gotta run, I'll bbl if you need more info.
