Author strange error message part 2

Well the error message I was getting (The page
PontOldsBuick/70PontGTOJudgeWhite.htm has been modified by
(unknown)on 31 Dec 1969 19:00:00 -0500) is apparently coming from my
version of the site and not the one on the server. Now even when I open
the site and make a simple text change to a page and then try to save it
I get that same error message about the page I'm trying to work on. And
it happens on about 50% of my pages. And to make matters worse, I
uninstalled, cleaned, and then reinstalled the extensions on the server
and it seems to have destroyed all my FrontPage components (specifically
the include page feature) so I can't just publish the live site to my
local system. I've also updated my Norton Anti-Virus and ran a full scan
but did not find a virus... and I tried recalculating the hyperlinks in
my local web and it did not help. Does anyone have any ideas what might
be wrong?
