Howdy.

You should always manage FrontPage permissions through
FrontPage, and not through IIS Manager or Windows
Explorer. The reason is that FrontPage uses relatively
complex patterns of permissions.

First, make sure the FrontPage Server Extensions are
installed on the virtual server you're trying to use.
Then, if the existing permissions aren't working, follow
the procedure described at:

Fixing Permissions in an Extended Web Site

HI! ok so you mean that the person at the physical server should manager the
permission of the root web and its subs via FrontPage. right?

where do you go in FP to do this? I don't see anything in the menus of the
sort? is there a Fp manager? and if so where is it?
