| I would really appreciate if I could get some direction on adding a search feature to my site. I hate the integrated feature of FP 2003, it's bulky, non-customizable and the results page shows just the page with the search topic.
I would like to know what is the best way to add a search to my site. I have very little programming language. Does anybody know of a tutorial out there that would show me how to create a search box using ASP or HTML. I would like to have as small of a
footprint as possible. Similar to the one above for microsoft. I have tried the free code snipits from atomz, etc. and they are mostly add based or restrictive, that is why I would like to create one on my end, but again I am wanting my cake and eating
it too, since I have little programming experience. I am using FP 2003 for a reason:)
Thanks for all of your help guys!

| If you are hosted on a Windows IIS server, then you can use ASP and Index Server. For help with
this, you should visit the Index Server newsgroup.

| Google has a add-in that will search Google AND/OR your own site. It's =
easy to use...you might want to check that out.

| try this site : [urlYwww.webwizguide.info[/url]
it has a very simple site - it is active server pages (
I've used atomz for ages - they don't have huge banner adds just a little
'button' type. The above requires a link back to the author, but you expect
that for freeware or 'linkware'.
see the example for my site: http://www.aym.perth.inglican.org/site_search.asp

| Be careful with using Google to search your site - if you have subwebs that
you want to keep private (sites you are developing for customers, private
family sites, etc.) it will search those as well.

| Use AtomZ - you can specify includes, excludes, ,multiple entry points,
synonyms, etc., etc.
