update: drop-down box not working
|
|
|
| To clarify this issue, if you go to
authorstobelievein.com, you will see a drop-down box
containing books with links to each of their perspective
pages. Select the book, Booga-Boo, as at present, the
others are not published to the site. When you select
Booga-Boo from the homepage and hit the <submit> button,
you will cycle back to the homepage. If you do this from
the subweb, Children's Books, it is the same drop-down
box without other books, it will take you to a 404 error
page (unidentified webpage error). IPowerWeb's tech
support says the drop down is not designed to work this
way, however, according to everything I can find, and if
you find anyother site with a drop-down box with links,
you will find the HTML coding is the same. Please help!

| You have to setup the DDM to process the selection via JavaScript, not using the FP Form Handler.

| You're using a submission form instead of a drop down select form.
You need to do some research on Drop Down select forms if you want to use them
as links to open a new page.

| Why would I have to do this - FP 2002 has these options
in their web component form. Also, I went to your site
and see the script. I assume this script is loaded via
HTML??

| I'm not sure I understand your comment. I am using FP
2002. Under <Insert> on the Menu bar, I select <Form>
then <Drop Down Box> and it automatically inserts a box
and the buttons [Submit] and [Reset]. What are you
referring to? I don't see other choices.

| FP98, 2000, 2002 and maybe FP2003 doesn't have this ability. JavaScript must be use to add the
functionality.

| But you still must add JavaScript in order for this form element to process selections as
hyperlinks.
