Trouble Re-Installing FrontPage 2000 Upgrade
|
|
|
| I've used FrontPage 2000 for some time now. I had to
uninstall it from my computer and when I was trying to
reinstall it - I can't do it. I have the FrontPage 98
full version CD and the Upgrade CD for 2000. I can
install the FP 98 with no problem but when I try to do the
upgrade to 2000 I get the following error message "The
sytstem administrator has set policies to prevent this
installation."
I then got a full version of FrontPage 2002 and when I try
to install it I get the same error message.
Please help!!!

| If you are on a corporate network, then you will need to contact your Sys Admin group.

| Thomas,
I was able to install it on my machine several months
ago and today I tried to install it on another machine in
my office and it works fine. Just not on this machine. I
think something happened in the policies when I installed
some patches to this machine which were recommended by the
Microsoft Baseline Support analyzer.
I've talked to our network folks and they don't have a
clue what's going on either.

| Ok, then I would suggest posting to the appropriate Windows newsgroup, to see if they can help to
undo whatever it is that you did.
