| I have a new computer and want to load my website via the
import wizard in FP98. We will not go into why I can not
use any alternatives to the procedure.
AnywayGo to file
Import
type in my location of the new web page
choose a title and
it says 'time out try to connect to server on port 443'
Or
it says the i do not have a 'valid host or IP addy'.
This is the first time I have published since this is a
new loading of my program. I have tried everything it
will let me to try. To the same end.According to the help
the program will use the last destination or server that
was used - But this is the first use of this program
therefore there is no reference.
I am flustrated. Any ideas?

| Use a FTP application to download the entire web to a folder on your HD, then open a web in FP98,
then select all of the content in the folder you downloaded to, and then drag-n-drop into the open
FP web in FP98.
If you use the import web function you will not get all of the web content, on the content as seen
in a browser.

| Ok Does the new 2003 Word have the FTP I will need?
Also I thoughtI would try to create any web page and the
program would not let me - it acted as if it wanted it
import instead of giving me a new page.

| If you are really talking about Word 2003, then you need to post to the Word Newsgroup.
If you are talking about FP2003, then no, it does not have a standalone FTP application, you will
need to use a 3rd Party FTP application.

| I am trying to transfer files one by one via (to a floppy
disk)the export of the old computer to the new using the
import - there are no folder comstructed on the new one (
it wont let me construct too much of anything). I would
hope that the import wizard would do this. However, each
time I try to import - it asks for a server and then says
the server is unknown even tho the destination is the a:
drive. the program will not recognize the import of
a:*.* as a valid entry to highlight the OK.
Now I have just resently transferred files using this
program to a computer at home with windows XP and
everything went very slick. so what am i doing wrong this
time???

| Do you have WinZip, if so then zip the entire web folder and the copy that over to the other
machine.
