Author Web standards - xhtml - CSS - etc.

Currently I have FP 2000 and I am considering upgrading
while addressing issues of (compliant) Web Standards.

My research via queries indicate there are several
solutions regarding FP and the XML and CSS available
however, these alleged add-ons require a charge and I
have no guarantee they are compatible, etc. leaving me
uncertain about the viability of FP for the future.

I have read currently there are other Web authoring
programs more suitable to accomplish the Compliant
Browser issues, etc. I'm not interested if I can avoid it
going into another authoring program dealing with it's
learning curve and dealing with its own problem issues
no program is full proof.

Questions - what do I upgrade to FP 2002 or 2003?

Where is the best xhtml and CSS resource
solution/help/Q&A on the Web for FP without expensed add-
ons, etc.?

Suggestions please.

Thank you,
Jack

Yes upgrade to fp2003.

Not all addons have to be bought, there are many free one's.

Apart from the ms addon section you might like to check out these other sites because ms does not carry all the free one's and also because they don't carry all the UPDATED versions. Where possible get the addon from the vendors site.

http://anybackpage.com/bytes back issues which have listed each month many addons free, trial or to buy.
I also list them at my sitehttp://accessfp.net/accessst.htm and I'm in the process of adding content to a new site of mine http://addonfp.com which has a update ezine which I will be launching within the next week
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/addonfp/

It will contain new addons free trial and to buy all listed under each cateogory that come out during the month.

I have a LOT of addons on my fp03 and so far all are compatible, I really like addons and have great fun thinking up new features to bug the developers into making. There are several addons that help with web standards too and are free.

Tina,

I love free add-ins.
Here's my personal pick for the week...an image splitter - very cool.

They have some other cool freebies too.

Thanks for telling me Rob <tongue in cheek> I know, I asked Andrew to make
that one LOL.

So if you have any ideas pass them on, I know a few addon makers that would
love to hear wish lists for addons for frontpage.
