I make a swf which is used as navigationon on my site
however, I found that I need to click the swf once to make it start
how can it work without a click first?

If you have to click the swf to activate it, it is because of your web
browser's security system (or something like that), because this does not
happen in Firefox but it does in Internet Explorer. I don't think there is
anything you can do in Flash to fix this.

search for AC_RunActiveContent

You'll find a fix for your problem.
