Hi Forum:
I"m a newbie using FlashMX2004 Pro for Mac and I have created a site entirely
in Flash, uploaded through DW2004. My problem is this: when accessing an email
link, a user emails (or closes without sending) and on return to the site,
another page (other than the contact page where the button resides) is selected
and it will not allow navigation to any other page. When attempting to click a
button to go to another page, it "flashes" to the selected page but immediately
returns to the same page that is selected once the email is completed and upon
return to the site. The mail program used is Outlook on a PC, and the browser
is IE. I believe my client uses Windows XP or Vista. The glitch isn't present
on my mac using OS 10.4.10-Firefox or Safari and mac's mail program.
I used the standard code for my email button: on (release)
{getURL("mailto:xxx@xxx.com");}
The email window opens and allows writing & sending, but on return to the web
site...gremlins abound. Anyone heard of this happening? I appreciate any

Windows XP Home, Explorer 6.029, Outlook Express 6...these apps are what my
client is viewing & interacting with his website

Can anyone give a quick look to see if they experience the same glitches
described above. Please select the "Property Tax Reduction" tab and then click
on the bottom button: "Contact" then click on the email button. Close the email
window and return to the site to see if navigation still works. I would really
appreciate it. I'm at a deadend with my first flash site. I appreciate ANYONE
who could help this 1st time newbie figure this out.

My client now states that the email buttons work ONCE to open outlook, send
mail or close window, returning to site and nav buttons do work, but if email
button is selected again and email is sent or closed upon return to the site it
endlessly loops on the last page he was at when he selected email again...no
navigation function at all. INCREDIBLE!
At one point, I thought it was a "target" issue, so I tried all four options
"_blank, _self, _parent, _top"...none of these solve the problem. The "_blank"
option does produce an error message and once it is clicked off, the same
problem exists. Somebody please help me...I must be missing something very
basic here.

ok, I finally resorted to making a new site uploaded to a different server and
had my client test this site, same issues. This site is MUCH smaller...only a
4K SWF file

If any good samaritan who uses Windows XP Home, Explorer 6, Outlook Express6
can look at this tiny site to test the email links I would be eternally
grateful!
