Flash Site Design - problem with flash movie?

problem with flash movie?

Hi, I am new to this site and im not sure if this is the right place to ask..
but im just starting to use some flash... messing around and such, and i was
wondering why when i try previewing a movie my flash just blinks?

i wanted my text to move in motion like explode out of place, but when i
preview it. it just blinks, and it doesnt do what i want it to?

any help would be great.

Hi,
can you explain your problem in more details please..
such as did you create a movie clip etc...

you probably are missing a stop(); action ???

I put single text into the work space and have their own layer so the letters
can move on its own. I'm trying to create a Loading page. and each letter in
the loading moves in different directs. the "test movie" works when i only move
the letters, but it stops working when i use free transform on the letters to
spin. when i do the free transform, the Loading just blinks when i "test movie"

Hi;
humm!!, If i understand correctly, you have your letters on seperate layers,
and you want to add a rotating effect on each....
Lets try this:
create a new movie clip, ( loaderAnim_mc) or any name
put your letters inside that movie clip

Select each letter and make them into a movie clip ( F8) be sure to have the
registration point in the center ( this is located to the right of the movie
clip option when you do F8,
Add your animation on each letter movie clip layer
if you want it to stop add a ( stop(); ) action, if it is going to be a loader
do not add the sotp();

add the movie on the stage and test your movie

Hi,
To create a new movie clip you do Insert>>>> New Symbol>>>> "Select" Movie
clip and name it...
That will open a new movie clip window where you will add your letters and
transform them into movie clips... To do this, select the letter and use the
key F8 to open the new symbol window, as you know now select "Movie Clip" and
name it ( for example A_mc for the letter A??!! ) ect....

is there a place i can send you what i have done so far... and maybe you can see what my problem is, i tried doing the movie clip too and the letters just blink still.?
