stutting animations???
|
|
|
| I have an animation where a word comes flying into the page from really
large to pretty small. In the middle of the tween it stops for a
fraction of a second and then keeps going. I am on a mac. First I had
this done with AS and now have it on the timeline. The problem seems to
be almost the same either way. At first I thought that it might have to
do with other things going on and using too much processor. But I just
isolated that MC and put into another movie and it is still doing it.

Is this because the tween is so large in difference of size? Is there
any way to avoid this?
Thanks for any help with this!

| Hi Brian, it doesn't stutter for me at all. In fact, the tween occurs so
quickly that it almost looks like there's no tween at all... that it's just two
frames with the text in different positions and size.
Have you check it on more than one machine/platform?
I'm on a PC/IE7 at the mo... I'll try to check it out later on a Mac.

| The first time I loaded the page on my Mac it stopped at the halfway point as you described. Reload, however, went smoothly when it was in the cache.

| PC/ Firefox, stops for a fraction of a second here on my machine. Try making the motion with more frames, and increasing the movie frame rate, that might work
