| The FLVPlayback for playing FLV is not working correctly for me, the video
plays fine but the controls doesnt show. When playing in flash player localy it
does, but on the webpage it doesnt appear, only the video. Any ideas?

| Thanks for the reply.
The things is that I have the skin in the same directory as the swf. When
playing back through flash player standalone program it goes well, but from
within a browser the skin and controls wont show. Both FF2 and IE7.

| Hmmm. Not sure what to tell you. I just did a little test using the Arctic
over all skin and it ran fine from within FireFox and IE. Maybe someone else
has an idea.

| No, my index.html that displays the flash is in the root directory, and the flash itself along with the flv movie files and the skin is in /swf/ is that a problem?

| Well, thank you anyway. I think it used to work, well, from FF and IE but then
suddenly stopped working when I moved the entire project folder to another
location, but that shouldnt change anything should it? as all the files are in
it and it is the root folder for the whole project? Although, the project
folder gets recreated constantly on my desktop where it first was, no matter
how many times I delete it, strange thing. If I remember correctly the controls
worked when it was on the desktop, Ill try and see if that was the case, I
might have mistaken it by the fact that when I hit control+enter or
control+alt+enter and preview it within flash the conytrols work, but when I
publish it, it doesnt, I have noticed some other things going crazy when I
publish them from time to time.

| the skin file should be located together with your html but not the flash movie
if you wan to put your player skin in another folder,
modify the skin parameter of you FLVplayback component
skin : Costom Skin URL
URL : http://www.yourdomain.com/swf/yourskin.swf

| Oh, so the skin should be located in the root directory where the html file is
and not the root directory where the actual flash and flv is, alright, ill try
that. I tried modifying the skin parameter in the FLVPlayBack component, to as
you said a Custom Skin URL, it now works as it should, guess it just didnt find
the skin, ill try to put it in html root directory, thank you.
