I recently read two tutorials from flashkit:

http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/D...y_-705/index.ph
p
and...

http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/A...Flash_Wi-701/in
dex.php

One happens to involve creating user accounts for a flash site. Another
describes how to create a simple guestbook.
-For my gameforum, I have been considering stripping down a phpBB forum to do
the job, but I came to thinking, what if I made it so that writing into the
guest book required a user account. A user account that also wrote out thew ID
fields described in the tutorial there, along with maybe a small avatar.
-I do not need a post counter. I do not need all them features you get on a
normal board. What I need is:

A flash design/code that lets visitors create user accounts on the site. Also,
a feature that allows them to start new topics within the guestbook...

And, for the less psychically inclined amongst us, your *question* is...?

:)

I thought I'd leave that field open. Keep it open so people could give whatever
input they could... Anyhoo :P

Well, first off, is this a nimrod project I have here? Is it even possible?
If it is. I'd like for some vets or whatever to give me some input. I happen
to be a noob more or less, so I don't want to hurt myself going on a project I
can't handle right?

So... Is it possible, and do you have any idea on how to pull it off?

Sure it's possible. Fairly ambitious for a newb tho :)

My advice would be to get out your favourite search engine, search for Flash
guestbook, do a LOT of reading, then come back with specific questions:

I got one now as a matter of fact :P

I did do the guestbook tutorial, only the one on flashkit and not the one you
specified there, so I am shall we say "introduced" to the techniques therein. I
guess there's only one essential question that I can't work out myself. And
here's that question.
-The guestbook in the tutorial there is flat. Only one board so to speak. How
do I modify the guestbook so that users can create new topics within the
guestbook? :P
