Heh, sounds harsh, but truth be told, I agree. That said, the
documentation can be a bit intimidating at first glance. The usual question
is, "Sure, fine -- but where do I begin?"
If you're interested in using Flash for animation and visual arts, start
with the "Getting Started in Flash" section. You'll also find "Flash
Samples" and "Flash Tutorials" sections.
If you're interested in using ActionScript, start with "Learning
ActionScript 2.0 in Flash." In addition, for what it's worth, I wrote an
article on "getting the most out of" the ActionScript 2.0 Language
Reference, published here ...
