Best Frame Rate for smooth animation on web

| Hi just wondering if anyone could tell me the best framerate for a website. My
website uses an average ammount of animation and most of the buttons are
interactive. At the moment i have it set at the standard flash setting 12fps
and it looks a bit jumpy (i really want it looking sleek and smooth) I wondered
what i could increase this to without the file size becoming massive (18fps??)
Any help or advice would be wicked

| i answered this in the other forum - frame rate has nothing to do with file size - just test for
yourself - 12fps, test, note file size - repeat with a higher frame rate - note file size - they
will be the same.

| In this case the file size increases only if you create frame-by-frame
animation. In case of motion tweening - it doesn't
The good practice for frame-by-frame animation is to put it into a graphic
clip - so you can use different frames of this clip on the main TimeLine and
avoid of redrawing the same phses in the different frames.

| Adam,
the eye can see a serie of still images as a continumm at a specific
velocity (tha's why movies and tv display images at 24 and 25 fps)
I recommend you to use the last one, it could make your movie a little
bigger (it all depends on what and how are you codding) but, if your
animations are well programed, they will look very smooth.
Sorry for my very bad english, I hope this help you.

| hi,
now the timming the template author uses 35 and somtime 40 to their animation.
bcz if ur animation is bit fast then according to me, look nice and much
creative but depends on ur animation how u wan to display it, slow or fast.
make ur MOVIE 35fps. then c.
