How do I get this effect, where the browser takes over the whole screen, and a small screen pops up in the center?

Very simple.

In the original page (below the popup) just view the source
of the html. Copy that and replace parameters with your own
movies. Remember to change all titles ;-)

The popup: NewWindow(this.href,'name','780','550','no')

and so on...
