Hi all,

Just launched this new Flash app which allows users to create online
magazines, fanzines, portfolios etc.
The application can be found here:
http://www.formatpixel.com/go/en/
And an online demo of a project can be found here:
http://www.formatpixel.com/go/en/fp.asp?proj=111

Been a long 4 month project in my spare time, learnt alot about Flash!
Any comments and feedback welcomed.
Cheers,

Really cool, gives me some great ideas on what to do with this application I'm
developing. Muhhahaha... damn I need flash 8.

Anywho, first if you are going to force the popup to full screen, allow me to
resize it, its annoying on a dual screen monitor when one of those popup and
you cant resize it.

Next, when I was creating my second page, I added some text and shapes, then
clicked to make a new page and it reset the book to the default wiping
everything I had done. So force a save or something or make it so it doesn't
wipe.

But really cool, great job on it.

Hi Xithis,
Thanks for the feedback, I've changed the JavaScript window so you can
resize it now.

With regards to saving, I really don't know how to catch and prompt if a
user tries to close the editor window. To my knowledge (and it is very
limited) you cant really do this across browsers.

It makes sense as if you could catch a close you could make a site which
keep spawning new windows or prevent people closing a site! Have you started
your online app project yet?

This is a great application. How much would you charge someone to use this.

Well it wiped everything I did when I clicked on the lil add page icon in the
editor. not in creating a new book.

As for my online project, I have an offline prototype of the concept, soon as
I get done with this current project, I'll be starting on working on it. Prob
end of the month.

Hi ya,

Thanks for the feedback. At the moment I'm doing the following
- Free for a month
- £5 per month after that to keep the subscription up and hosting.

Hi ya,

Hmmm, not sure what that is. At the bottom of the page is a list of current
pages in your project. You can jump to each one of those pages by clicking
on them. To add a page, remove or change the order you can click on the
'Pages' button at the top of the screen. This opens the Spread Planner
window.

Do you mean that the page was removed when you left the Spread Planner
window?
