Flash Site Design - Does size matter?

I have been watching some flash training videos where the presenter sets the
stage at 599 x 399 pixels.
After building the site it seems quite small for my liking, so my question is;
if I build my site bigger will this have a negative affect in some browsers or
on certain monitors.

what do you mean by "negative effect"? the only issue is whatever your preference is to having the
user scroll or not scroll based on what their display res happens to be set at. There are certainly
many recommended stage sizes to develop with based on the default browser and display resolution but
in the end every system is different.

Thanks for that Chris, that was a good help.

Can I be cheeky and also ask if a flash site can use similar SEO techniques to those used in HTML in order to rise in the search engine results?.
