I'm not exactly sure what you mean - can you explain in a different way?

ummm, still not sure i understand - so you selected multiple objects and then grouped them (Ctrl +
G). Then selected something else threby deselcting the group you made. Then you went back to the
group of objects and could still select them as if the group was broken apart but you didnt actually
break the group apart?
I really have no clue - never heard of that issue before and probably is some simple error you made
but pretty hard to tell what you did exactly.
