Author is flash used to design this type of application?

I am looking to purchase the Studio 8 bundled package but I am not sure if it
will be capable in designing my site / application. We are looking to add a
drag-and-drop application directly to the front end of our web site. Similar
to the links below:

www.dragdropsitecreator.com
and www.handzon.com/fulldemo.htm

It looks like CSS is incorporated with the sites but can any of the programs
in the Studio 8 package do CSS. I am a novice so any help is appreciated. In
the end, we are looking to develop a flash / html based web site and have the
drag and drop application incorporated as an added feature.

Thanks,
B

Welcome to a world of infinite possibilities

Just about all of Studio 8 can do CSS, Javascript, html, Actionscript,
animation, and it can all be exported to each other need I go on.

Just a word about Drag and Drop, Flash 8 - its Start.Drag & Stop.Drag what
more do you need, life is simple when you have the right tools.

Its curious that you wrote "I am not sure if it will be capable in designing
my site / application", if your designing anything then FLASH is the new
frontier, its not perfect but its on 98% of the worlds PC's. I think its more
than capable of doing more than you expect and your only limited by your talent.

What do you mean exactly by "Start.Drag & Stop.Drag "?

I definitely knew that Flash is what we needed but the developer/designer that
I was in contact with back in early 2005 has since been gobbled up by the
busy-ness of web 2.0. I would like to work with him but I need the
site/application done soon. I've been sitting on it too long.

We're going to be doing some interior design work and I wanted the ability to
move items around a room. We want to give our customers the feeling of being
involved with the process. I want the items to have extreme detail. Almost
real looking. From what you're saying, the Studio 8 package will give us all
we need for designing this type of site. I have the idea talent but will
probably be referencing the Help/Tutorial section a bit.

I was just hi-lighting the fact the traditional methods of extensive code
creation goes out of the window with Flash

A simple function such as Drag & Drop is simplicity in it self within Flash.

Two functions encapsulating this.StartDrag and this.StopDrag is all you need
and you can move anything to anywhere.

"Two functions encapsulating this.StartDrag and this.StopDrag is all you need
and you can move anything to anywhere."

And this can be done on the front end of the web site so anyone can use? For
instance, if someone visits the main web site, clicks on a link to start the
drag and drop application, they will then have the ability to move obects
anywhere in the predetermined defined area?

And I am assuming that changing the properties (colors, size, etc) is also
possible?

Thanks,
B

If you provide the function to change any of the defualt settings of an item
then anything is possible.

Let's say you design your core items, in or out of flash, these then are the
base that the user can manipulate to their liking.
They change an instance of a core item not the core item, therefore multiple
users won't conflict with each other.
