hi everyone - last week i had used text as buttons on my flash site and it
wasn't showing up right, and i was advised to use graphics as buttons instead.

it seemed to work and look great while working on the document in Flash, but
now when i publish the file the graphics are showing up weird. they have extra
added pixels on the left that don't show up when i'm editing the .fla file, but
when i view the .swf file they are messed up.

i checked my JPG quality on my publish settings and it's set to 100.

the links/graphics i am speaking about are the ones on the left of this page:

http://www.romerojewels.com/shondraleigh/index.html

that are called "about shondra leigh" "bracelets" "earrings" "necklaces"

does anyone know why this would be happening? thanks so much for your help!

hello,
it would be great if you could show us the swf.
maybe you could get some help then.
all i can think now is probably because of a problem with pictures resolution,
if you make them smaller in you swf then the real size, they might publish
weird.. anyway, i don't really know until i see what's going on, so if
you could publish the swf and uploadit somewhere give us a link..

I don't know exactly what is happening with you graphics but I think I can help.
When you were using text, Was your problem that the button would only work
when you roll directly over the letters?
If that is the case, here is how to solve that problem:

Go back to using text, but this time do it differently. When you are in the
button, put a transparent rectangle above the text. Make the rectangle
invisible by changing the alpha value to 0% in the color mixer. Make the
rectangle envelope all the letters. Now the entire area of the rectangle (not
just the text) will respond to mouse rollovers and clicks.

If that was not your problem, sorry I couldn't help.
