| hi guys - has anyone ever experienced this problem? (i'm using Flash MX)
i have 3 buttons on the left (they are text converted into buttons):
bracelets, earrings and necklaces.
I have different states for them in the up, over, down and hit states - they
change colors, change from non-bold to bold etc.
and in the "enable simple buttons" mode when i'm editing the site they work
great, but when i publish and even publish preview they don't work anymore.
the file is here: http://www.romerojewels.com/shondraleigh/index.html
Any idea why this may be happening? Thanks in advance for any help you can
offer :)

| It looks to me like the only portion of the actual button is just a few
letters in the words. The "l" in "bracelets" and the "kl" in "necklaces".
It is a good practice not to convert straight text to a button but rather to
put a rectangular box behind the text within the button with the alpha set
to 0% in the Color Mixer. This way when a user hovers or clicks in any
space where the rectangle is, the button works. If you only use text, the
user must click precisely on the fill of the letter.

| Thank you so much - that did the trick! :) (I actually just created buttons as graphics) I really appreciate it!

| Hi there - thank you so much for the help with my buttons in Flash - I was
wondering if you knew anything about this or could refer me somewhere that
might have some helpful information?
I had created a website for a client with a shopping cart. It was an HTML
site. and I am revamping her site and doing it in Flash this time.
I had a shopping cart set up for her with the following code under the
"Purchase" buttons for each product:
<form action=http://ww9.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm method=post>
<input type=hidden name=userid value=B019933>
<input type=hidden name=pcode value=YNpk-rq>
<input type=submit value="Purchase">
</form>
Do you know how I should go about making this work under a graphic that I
converted into a button in Flash MX?
Thanks for any help you can offer :)

| A great place to ask this question is on the Dreamweaver forum. I would
suggest searching the forum for your answer prior to posting.
