Loading images into finished flash file

| My friend has a website which was built by a design company, using Flash. My
friend would like to change some images, but this would probably mean the flash
files would have to be recreated with the new images. Or....?
Could the design company make Flash pages which allow my friend (who has no
knowledge of Flash) to upload images himself? For instance, can the images
used in the Flash design be loaded from a database, which he could add to
himself, or could he use Contribute?
Thanks a lot for putting me into the direction of a solution.

Yes, exactly..that would be the flexible way to design the site.
Anytime that images or data are expected to change, that data should
be an external load, not hard coded into the Flash file. There are
several ways to do it. The easiest way is to have all the pictures
named with consecutive numbering like picture1.jpg, picture2.jpg etc.
Then when picture9.jpg needs to be replaced you just upload a
different picture9.jpg to overwrite the previous one on the server.
Another way is to use an XML database with names of the pictures to be
loaded.
Having to re-publish Flash every time a picture needs changing would
be a poor design.
