I use Smartftp and it works fine with flash. If the files don't even show as
being loaded to the server then either it's a problem with the way you're using
SmartFTP or with your web provider/server I guess. SmartFTP has a tutorial
built in I think.

I'm certainy no expert, having recently uploaded my first site but I just
connect to the server and open a local browser window and drag and drop files
to the server. When you upload the files does SmartFTP say they have been
uploaded successfully or are there any error messages? Do they appear in the
server window in SmartFTP? If SmartFTP shows them as having been uploaded, then
maybe check with your web provider.

P.S. When you say they don't seem to be uploaded does this mean they don't
appear on your server or you can't find the site when you put the address into
your browser? If you can't get the link to work then they may be uploaded fine,
it's just that the html isn't set up right or the files are in the wrong file
on the server etc.
