| Hi, I'm self taught and have been working with flash for about a year. I
recently came across some sites that seem to be using flash as a background to
their html files.
http://blink182.com
If someone could tell me how this is done or point me towards a tutorial, I
would be forever greatful.
Thank you soooooo much!!

| Hello,
Ive looked at the 3 sites. Dont quote me as im no expert but...
Site 1. well, there's a bit of flash going on at the top of the screen but
this could quite easily be merged into thebacground colour beneath the boxes.
Site 2. I assume you mean the nav bar? This could be replicated using
transparency in dreamweaver. Flash parameters -
wmode - transparency.
Site 3. Im not exactly sure but maybe usage of frames within dreamweaver?
Well, thats my view, probably way offf the mark but food for thought.
Cheers
Alan

| well allanwallace is right. For site one right click on the flash animation
youll see regular right click window for flash (about flash 7 etc) the right
click at the bottom of the page youll see regular right click window for html
pages.
But he is wrong about site 2. Do the same(right click).youll see that the
right click window becomes html as soon as the light grey blue box starts. this
means that the flash movie is at the top and the rest is html.
And for site 3 too its the same the have just used the pictures wisely enough
to fool us.In site 3 you can clearly see where the flash players start and stop.
