Don't post it on the Internet! That's the only solution!

Yup, Flash is clientside, so you can't really do this. But why exactly do you want to be able to do this?

actually there is a way.. i'm not sure if it works.. i never tried it, but i
thikn it should.
you would have to build a second swf file that will load the main swf inside.
that way the swf that will remain on the temporary folder will be the one that
loads the main swf movie..
I'm really confident that this will work.
please let me kneo if it works

I have heard of someone trying to do this, but don't know if it ever really
worked. Of course, the SWF has to be downbloaded at some point, so a user who
is watching their data transfer could still acquire it, so it's not really
secure, but the average user would not be able to find it by browsing their
cache, and it would solve any anti-caching needs.

However, I have no idea how to do this, only that some of tried, and claimed
some degree of success.

That's something else, sorry. He's talking about browser caching of downloaded files, in this case a SWF.

Are you worried about the swf being decompiled or just you don't want the file
to be viewed after x amount of time?

Again... All browsers cache swf files! :-)

You can make the file check for date and do a count down and expire... This I
have seen but I don't have a handy link to post at the moment.

http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/O...Ca-40/index.php

I'm guessing this is the tutorial you had in mind?

I haven't tested this myself but never the less... this only (if it works)
unloads it after it has already been cached...
