Hi, a frequent Flash user here.

I tried to make a navigation button, where when you roll over a symbol
the links apear and stay there so you can klick on them, but disapear
when you roll out of the area again.

would there be a button over another button? and how do i make the link
from the button to go to the requested frame in the main movie.

The buttons would be in a graphic, movie button 4 levels down the main
movie.

cheers, dimitri

the trick is to make a dummy button with the on Roll over and another dummy button with the on roll out:
I have examples here:

make the roll over goto a frame that has the sub-menu, then when the user
rolls over anohter button it goes to another frame, that doesnt have that
sub-menu
