Hi there, need some help out here and thought you might be able to help me. I
have created a site all in flash. Have a base SWF and then each of the
different contents are in external swf pulled in by a loadmovie action script.
The problem i am having is that the site has become very slow on loading and on
importing the external SWF, some of those SWF are only text, but still it takes
alot of time to load it. each SWF have 2 Scenes, the first scene has a regular
loader...and the second scene has tthe content. Does anybody know how to make
it load faster, cause i have seem lots of sites that they do load very fast.

Thanks,

you need to use a preloader that loads an outside file. I am assuming that
you are trying to load scrolling swf files. Try using this file
www.bionicegg.com/PRELOAD_ABOUT.fla You can change it to you own needs.

Hey, Thankz

I really appreciate it. I think it might work out and hopfully i?ll get the
site running in a better shape and have a faster load. Thanks for the
advice.... and also thanks for the file, i got it and as far as i saw the file
will work out for what i needed it.
Thankz alot, if you have any other tip in how to making a site display fast.
Cause the other problem i also have is that, i dont know if it is because it is
to heavy and when you display the site the site gets slower when some masking
is done....or things like that, like for example when your computer gets really
slow when the RAM is completely full....but in this case its not the pc its the
site. So if you have any other TIP on that i would really like to know.

Thankz Alot.

if your site is using imported jpg's, and/or music, that can make the
loading take longer. there isnt anything you can do about that, unless you
export the images at 70% instead of 100%. But for photographers, this isnt
good for their work. I dont know how your doing your site, but you should
make each section a seperate movie, so that each section loads when the user
clicks on that button

Thankz,

Let me try with that i think it could work, the website www.maithailounge.com
go there, and enter the English version and then you could see the loader and
everything...what it actually does is that when you click on any button it will
slide to the image on top and then loadmovie *name.swf" and it shows on the
bottom....but if you see the content or the SWF that loads on the bottom has
not much info and it is not that heavy, for example the HOME link loads a 169
KB, that is a bit heavy....but the rest are not, CUISINE has 16kb the SWF,
contact has 49KB, BAR 55KB and all the rest are like that..... Thankz, if you
have any tips on that let me know, THANKZ ALOT dude.
