Flash Site Design - newbie needs help

First let me thank you in advance for helping me. I have been doing web pages
for about two years. I little flash experience. I would like to learn how to
integrate flash techniques used in the following pages:

http://www.angelaclay.com/
(how is the rectangles that keep shifting effect created)

and in the following page
http://www.meadowpoint.com/
(how is the effect created that makes the banner flash like when it is loaded)

Again, I know these things may be simple for alot of you. But please be
gentle, and point me in the right direction.

Madape,
There are a lot of peeps on here who are more advanced than me, but I think
I can help. On the first site, it's just motion tweening side to side with the
rectangles. Put 2 shapes on different layers & play with it.
The second is just a matter of putting the "flashing graphic" on alternating
frames with the first graphic.
