| Hi, i have finished my website, it's just something simple to showcase my
illustrations that have been completed over the years. Could you please tell me
what you think and notify me if you have any problems, I'm open to any ideas
that you may have.
Cheers,

| Hey. Overall I like the style, and I like your sketches. Found the site
quite annoying to use though - after selecting an image to view you then
have to move your mouse pointer away from the image title you just clicked
to the tab to open the menu again, then back to the next image title to
select that and so on. I found this stilted my enjoyment of the site, and
makes trying to look through a few images really non fluid. It would be
better if the menu stayed open while the mouse was over it.

I agree
And did you line your menu text on whole numbers? I mean (x=10, y=20 and
not: x=10.2 and y=20.4). Because they are a bit out of focus as i can see.
(Hope you understand my crappy english ;)

| i love the style and the nav - and i agree 100% with Peter. It took a
while (10 seconds) for me to *discover* the nav - the worst thing you
can do is to create an invisible navigation - i hung in there till i
found it because the initial art appealed to me - but the navigation is
too clumsy in its current state - i love the way it works - i just dont
like having to discover it every single time - maybe try having it
animate open after site loads, or at least a visual cue that shows the
user how to access it.
Great illustrations! love that clean vector look!

| Great site and great sketches - but again the navigation lets it down. I sat
there and thought is that it and then had to go hunting for the navigation,
this spoils an otherwise excellent site. I can understand wanting to keep the
minimal look but a clue to the navigation would be nice, even if the tab drops
down the disappears again upon initial load - just to let the folks know where
it is. Great work once again though.

| Very Nice,
I really like it. The art and over all appearance of the site are topnotch.
The gallery pages load quickly and the lettering and colors blend nicely. I'm
certainly no expert but I dont think it's a cardinal sin to have a hidden
navigation (mainly because it's become so ubiquitous in flash design), however
everytime I come accross one I kinda feel like the designer wants to make me
realize how innovative and cutting edge he/she is and how narrowminded and
sheeplike I am. If it's an integral part of the overall idea of the site,
sometimes I get a kick out of it. Most times though, I just end up feeling
inadequate, and who needs that in this age of beautifull people, steroids and
enzyte! But I digress:-)!
I guess my point is the site is great.
The navigation however seems a bit overly thought and ego-driven. Kinda like
this post:-)
P.S.
I wish I had your skillz!!!

| haha thanks guys, yeh i know the navigation is a bit annoying but that's the
way i wanted it :confused; anyways, iwill get straight on to making the menu
drop down when the site loads...i think that this should make most people
happy.
thanks again,

| I am another for the clean vector look - works fine!
The menu works fine, it doesn't annoy you (apart from the flashing tab), the
size of the movie is slighly too big for my screen (1024x768) but apart from
that its a great site overall. Nice fade to begin (it works well with your
background), slightly strange man to stare at when you begin, but an amazing
portfolio!
I'd change the menu into a small bar at the top which opens out when the mouse
rolls over, and move your contact link at the bottom corner somewhere else.

| For a design site, the "invisible" nav can be ok - i like the way it
tucks up and out of sight like that - and it may be a mistake to lose
that - perhaps you could have it slide open after site loads and then
after a few seconds it slides back up again - that way the user knows
where it is?
