I am a student trying to design a web site for a school project. I want to make
a Flash intro than only runs once and then freezes on the page till the user
clicks another page. How do I do this?

try a search in the forums before posting to get your answer quicker.
On the last frame where you want it to stop create a keyframe and hit F9 and type type stop();
