I have been looking all over for a way to do this. I have a movie that is a
child of the top layer. In this child are 5 scenes (for lack of a better word
I'm calling them that). Each of these scenes has and "in" and an "out". At
the end of the out, it should determine which button was pressed and transition
to that buttons corresponding scene (the scenes are actually named points on
the nested timeline. That is to say, once you press the "shop" button, if you
are at the beginning of the movie it will go and play the "in" part or the
beginning of the scene. If you press another button, let's say "mail", and you
are already in the section of the timeline designated as "shop_stop" (the end
of the shop section where the full section is loaded), you would be taken to
the "shop_out" part of the timeline and the movie would determine that you have
pressed the "mail" button and play the "mail_in" transition.
How the heck do I do this?
I've tried everything I can think of and I know there has to be a simpler
method of determining the current frames' name, as opposed to using
"_currentframe". If I use current frame, anytime I make a change to the
timeline I have to use the find and replace function to change the numbers.
Please help, I am going to pull my hair out, I swear! Thanks
