I need help... how to make animations react?

hi, im new to flash so im completely rubish! I know how to make banners and
stuff but im trying to make a header for my site and also a menu bar, but I
dont know how to make animations react to mouse movement and clicking.....can
anyone help, I also want to create a header like the ones aon these sites

I think that you import the images in png format and then have the animations
move at different speeds, am I along the right track?.......would i have to
convert the animations into movie clips....if so how do I do that.....thankyou

Hello,
and welcome to flash.!! :)
I should start by saying that you should try to do something simple, because
the headers wich you want to do use complex action script animation (action
script is an OOP that flash uses).. you should trealy try something else.. no
offence, but I'm sure that only 2% of the users that enter this forum know how
to do that..
start with little things youwill get there.. good luck
