Flash Site Design - image quality woes....

image quality woes....

Hey guys...im having trouble getting rid of these random juxtaposed edges on
some of my images...ive set all quality settings to high, tried several
different file formats....but all of them dont look clear when i do a simple
fade out, fade in..... the image im dealing with is on a white background.

any help would be much appreciated...
