Using Flash MX 2004 Pro with SQL Server 2000
|

| I'm using Flash MX 2004 Pro and want to develop a complete website using only
Flash. My question is, how do I connect to SQL Server 2000 on the backend, so I
can update, insert and delete records. I have looked online and have seen a lot
with Remoting, but I don't want to get too complicated here. So, can someone
provide an example application or help with this? Thanks!

You can use a middle layer of scripting pages such as asp, jsp, php
etc.. to do the database operations and just pass them the data you
want from Flash. Flash can send value pairs to those pages using
FlashVars (look it up in the documentation) object. Then in the asp
page (for instance) you accept those value pairs and submit them to
your DB in whatever fashion you like.
