How can I make a movie clip fade into tranparency from left to right? Is that
posible? For example, I have a red square and one side is red and the other
side fades into tranparent. How can I do this? All responses are appreciated!
Thank you and hve a good day/night.

Hello,
What i would do, and im sure there will be an easier way, is...

Create your box
Click on it and in the color panel on your right select linear fill from the
drop down menu
below this you will see a color strip with black at one end and white at the
other.
click on each color and make it red.
hopefully now your box is red.
now, select a frame further along the timeline than your original box
press F6 to enter a keyframe (basically this will duplicate your red box in
its current state)
now, in the frame click on either of the red squares in the color strip in the
color panel
then just above this you will see the Alpha box.
Adjust it to show 0%.
Now, select a frame somewhere in between your two frames
have a look in the properties panel at the bottom of the screen and in the
Tween drop down menu select Shape.

This should do it
Test it by pressing Ctrl + enter
Hope this helps
Alan
