Color change - please help

How do I have it go to a frame where my movieclip (picture) will change into a
different tint during transition. - when I have my flash set up like this:

My picture that I want to change colors is in the root of the movie and then
my color buttons are in a movie clip. The color buttons need to change the
picture (which is a movie clip).

I need this help because when I did the simple on release go to and play at
frame # the movie clip that has the buttons disapears.

please help

I don't know what the later versions have but up to MX there was always a
tutorial that ran you through a movieclip along a tween and a button that got
it started. All you gotta do is change the tint instead of the position of the
movieclip.
