| I would like to see if anyone has some ideas to share about creating a cross
platform (Mac version & Windows Version) projector that will be distributed via
CD.
Some of my requirements besides being compatible on the Mac and Windos OS's
are:
Contain a flv movie
Call in about 60 - 100 html files
Call in local swf movies that contain picture galleries and audio files
(speeches).
Questions...
What is the best way to call in HTML files?
Call the html into a layer over top of the Flash movie or vise versa? (Is this
possible?)
Convert them to XML or use a third party tool like Northcode? Is there a tool
that will call in html files for both OS platforms? (Northcode only supports
Windows)
Any other ideas or best practices are appreciated... Thanks!

| an sf is cross platform when viewed by a web browser however if developed as a
standalone application flash publishes as an exe for pcs and a compressed
format for the mac (presuming you are publishing from a pc)
Once a main movie clip is opened it can open other swfs (containinig whatever
you wish) at other levels, or, in an empty mc.
Not quite sure what you mean when you say "call in html files" but using the
getURL('www.myURL.html') function will open a url in a web browser

| Thanks.
What I would like to have is a projector but web pages will work.
I wanted to have an animated flash navigation movie run over top of the html
files (transparent background for the swf). For example a movie that will skin
or border the window and have an animated menu which can scroll over the
current html page. I just do not want to have to recode 100 html files into
text or XML and then code the flash movie to read the new pages.
I guess what I really want is for flash to read in the html pages like an
iframe that can disappear as needed to show picture galleries etc... I know
that is not possible but I would like to simulate it.
Thanks!

| Well it is possible with a bit of work. Html can be imported into flash when
saved to a txt file. You can format your html using css and import pictures
dynamically - it would mean designing the flash for best appearance etc but it
is possible
got to go to bed now night night
