Author Text write on effect

I am designing an intro for a website and they are wanting their logo which is
text to appear to write on with an imaginary pen. Not letter by letter pop up,
but like someone is actually drawing the lines with an invisible pen.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmmm....path layer and some mask layers for typeface.
This is from top of my head, but I think it could be done like that, if
it's a very complex font it would be much harder.

I would have to play with it a bit more, but I don't have time for it
right now, sorry.

There used to be a tutorial for this on FlashKit. I don't know if it's still
there or not. If it isn't there then what you'd have to do is create a mask
layer over the text & build the mask frame by frame until it covers the
whole of the text.

wow - i checked out that tutorial and it sure is unfortunate that the person who wrote it could have
saved gobs of time (possibly hours) if he/she only knew about the "reverse frames" command (DOH!).

:)
i have seen that tut before and this was the first time i decided to look at all the steps - not
your fault - easy to assume a tutorial on a popular website would reflect the best way to do
something :p
