i wanna make a website, where i have smooth transitions all throughout my menu.
for instance, i have this following set of menus

menu 1 2 3 4 5 6
menu 1: contains menu 1a and 1b
menu 1a: contains menu 1ai and 1aii and so forth for the rest of the other
submenus
menu 1ai will contain even more submenus

when i click on any one of the menus, be it sub, sub-sub or main, there should
be a smooth transition and an animation before showing the next menu to come or
the content itself

i received a smooth transition from allanwallace but it's only for the first
menu which displays the smooth transition
when i tried it on the sub menus the smooth transitions won't appear

can anyone help me?

here's the link i got previously:

http://www.hed.swin.edu.au/design/t...tions/index.php

in this tut, it's only for the first menu hierarchically that displays the
smooth transition but i wanna do the same for the sub menus to come, ie, as
mentioned above

thx!

kind regards

skunk

Hi skankyweed,
I'm by no means a flash master and the way that i got around the problem is
probably completley bonkers but it worked for me.
Have a look at my site
(http://www.alanwallace.co.uk/alanwa...7/portfolio.fla file for you to
look at.
Its a crazy set up as you'll see but basically theres 3 movies (carport,
aliciaport and regalport) that are on the stage.
take a look at each of these. inside each one is another movie (thumbs1,2 or
3) take a look at these. (as i said it is a crazy set up).
The buttons on each thumbnail is inside portfoliomovie take a look at this
and the small amount of script.
Basically my fading in and out is done with a rectangle of the same colour as
the background placed over everything else and just fading in or out.

Hopefully you can wade through my crazy mess and come up with what you want.
I know how you feel as i posted this question quite a few times but noone
seemed to come up with an answer that worked for me.
Cheers
Alan
