Author navigation bar help

I am working on a navigation bar and am seeking help on two things:
1. How do I create a sort of rollover effect on the text that would show the
user which link their mouse is over? Much like the highlighting that is used on
typical drop menus with dates, months, countries, etc.
2. How do I create hyperlinks for the text. Does Flash use a sort of hotspot
technique?
If you are interested in helping, please respond or email me and I can send
you the flash file.

Caroline, you can make a small movie clip to play in the over state to let the
user know they are over the button. You can make the text a link, but it would
be wise to make the hit state a rectangle encompassing the text. from there its
a on mouse press, getUrl function. Send the file over I'm happy to help.
Regards, Russ
